KalamKari – This is the famous art of Andhra Pradesh .It is a technique of painiting clothes with a pointed bamboo called Kalam.
Patna Kalam Art – Water colour based works dealing exclusively with themes of a common man promoted by akbar.
Pichwais – This is the famous art in Rajasthan .It is a cloth painting of lord Krishna and used as backdrop of his idol at nathdwara temple Udaipur.
Tangkas-Silk painted scrolls executed in vegetables and minerals dyes on cavas and framed by silk brocades painted by young Tibetan monks.
Madhubani Painting s – Folk paintings of mithila narrates mythological and religious events.
Tanjore- It is a south Indian painting it has bright colors .the events from mythologies such as the coronation of ram is a typical Tanjore painting.
The Warli Painting – These are the paintings of adiwasi warli tribe.It has some common folk art paintings of marriage god ,palghat,his horse along with the bride and groom.These paintings are special as they depict marriage ceremonies.
The Pata Chitra Paintings-The Pata Chitra Paintings are inspired by the Bhakti movements .The various folk art prints depict the story of Radha –Krishna and Jagannath in bold colors.Today they are also used decoration of ganjifa playing cards ,masks and toys.
