How to get job in Banking sector

Banking sector is growing day by day. Now youngsters have started taking interest in Banking Sector There is a very good opportunity of jobs for the youngsters in Banking sector .The people who are searching for government jobs are taking good interest in this sector . According to the reports given by the various banks , there will be thousands of jobs in this sector in coming years .As government has declared the opening of new banks , there is a good chances of many job vacancies in this sector.In budget government has declared the opening of the bank for the women only . In this way there are good chances for women in the banking sector .
Changed format of selection – Earlier in Banking sector , all the different public sector banks used to conduct the entrance exam at different times in the year. That time people had to give many examinations in the year .Now the format of this is changed now the job seeker will have to give the examination only for once in a year for all the public sector banks .Now the selection process goes on through IBPS which is Common Written examination.
Right now there are 20 banks in this process which use the score of IBPS CWE to select the candidates. These banks associated with IBPS are Allahabad Bank , Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of Baroda , Canara Bank , Central Bank of India . Corporation Bank , Indian Bank , IDBI , Oriental Bank of commerce,Punjab National bank , Punjab and Sind Bank ,UCO bank etc . In all the first exams conducted by CWE there was a score card given to the candidate and he had to apply in many banks but from this year common interview will be conducted.
Eligibility for the Post of Clerk –
For the post of Clerk in banking sector one should be 21 to 28 in age . Age relaxation is given to some category . For educational qualification one should be graduate in any stream for a recognized university. Computer literacy is also required.
Eligibility for the post of Probationary Officer
For the post of probationary officer one should be graduate . Age limit should be 21 to 30. Relaxation is given is to some people.
Marks – In banking exams there will be 5 sections Maths, Reasoning , English , Computers, G.K with the special reference to bank . All will be of 40 mark . For PO examination descriptive test of English is also taken. There is a rule of negative marks for wrong answer . If one gives one wrong answer , his .25 marks will be cut.
How to apply- For this post one can apply online only. One can get about the forms and examination on the website www.ibps.in . One has to pay amount also to applying for the post . Most of the time Probationary officers forms get available in the month of March.
Five Sections
As mentioned above there will be five sections
Math – The Math of Clerical level will not be so difficult. Only calculation based questions will be asked .In the paper of PO Quant will be of high level . There are 25 questions of DI . There are 5 question of Probability also.
Reasoning – 40 questions of reasoning are also asked . One should give not more than 25 minutes on this section . In clerical normal reasoning is asked . In probationary officers exams reasoning is very high . Assumptions , Statement , conclusions are also asked.
English – In this section grammar , Comprehension . sentence rearrangement , fill ups are asked . To enrich vocabulary one should learn some words daily and shall read the English newspaper also.
General awareness – For it one should k now everything about the banking sector .One should have the knowledge of current affairs also. One can get 40 out 40 in this section just spending 10 minutes . As students will have the limited time for solving the whole paper.
Computer Knowledge-40 questions of computer knowledge will also be asked . In it basic knowledge of computers is checked.
